The Flavor That Almost Didn’t Happen

(But Absolutely Had To)
At My Salt Solutions, most of our blends begin the same way: we see a need, we taste-test endlessly, and we build a better salt-free or low-sodium option that people actually want to use.
But this one started with a label.
We had a playful idea for a pizza seasoning — something fun, flavorful, and a little outside the box. Our designer sketched a slice of pizza pulling out of the circle that normally frames our MySALT logo. It was quirky, bold, and made us smile. We loved it.
There was just one problem:
We didn’t have a formula that tasted good enough yet.
Pizza flavor without sodium is tough. Without salt, tomato powders can taste flat. Herbs can clash. And most “pizza seasonings” on the market rely on cheese powder or salt-heavy blends to make the flavor pop.
But we couldn’t let this one go.
The label felt alive. It needed a flavor to match.
So we kept working. Tinkering with ratios, simplifying ingredients, chasing that just-right herby, tomato-forward taste that feels like pizza night — without needing a crust, a sauce, or even a sodium warning.
And finally… it clicked.
No cheese, no bitterness, no filler — just sprinkle-it-on-and-smile flavor.
